The Jack of All Trades Is The Master of None

Some people tell me I'm a jack of all trades.They think it's a compliment.It's not.It's the furthest thing from a compliment.In fact, it's a warning sign.Because...

If you're a jack of all trades, then you're a master of none.

And I'm into mastery. The most successful people have their "thing."That one thing they master. And that's why they're successful... because they mastered that thing. As Tony Robbins says, “One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.”Don't dabble; Master. If someone calls you a jack of all trades, then it may be time to look in the mirror and evaluate.Focus in on that thing.Mark Metry is someone I see mastering key skills - podcasting and LinkedIn marketing.Justin Nguyen and Ava Wettrick are becoming masterful in guiding young students through their careers.Dr. Joel Kahn is a master of whole-food plant-based eating.Steve Jordan is the movement master.Chris Williams is the master of balanceWhat are you mastering?Let me know[bctt tweet="The Jack of all trades is the master of none" username="J__Paris"]
