I use a few measurements to understand whether people find their way into the work and come back.

Measurement is enabled on this site. When enabled, this site gives your browser a random identifier that expires after 90 days. It counts visits, where a visit broadly came from, opening the starting path, reaching its final piece, and returning on another day. Reaching a piece does not tell me whether you read it.

The identifier is kept separate from email addresses and subscription records. I don’t record your browsing history, exact referring address, or IP address in these measurements. Different browsers and devices are counted separately. Individual measurement records expire after 90 days.

You can turn measurement off below. The site also respects your browser’s Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings. Reading and subscribing work either way. Turning it off removes this browser’s identifier; existing anonymous totals remain.

Letters

If you subscribe, Resend holds your email address and the correspondence you choose. Signup and confirmation totals are counted by where the form appeared, without attaching your browser identifier. Email links identify which letter brought a visit, not who clicked. Email-open and provider click tracking are disabled.
