Motivation is fuel. Fuel runs out. We have to stop to fill up every few days, and it's expensive. When our brains run on motivation, we're just like everyone else, or any old car. These cars have thousands of moving parts. They are complex. With a high number of moving parts, the likelihood of something going wrong is high.
Being purposefully compelled is different. To be compelled by our higher purpose is efficient. It's electrifying. It's like a Tesla. Tesla cars have almost 100 times less moving parts as compared to a regular car fueled by gasoline. They are simple. With such a low number of moving parts, the likelihood of something going wrong is low.
