An overwhelming majority of the music on today’s top 200 list is profanity-laden songs about drugs and sex.
I don’t know about you, but that type of music doesn’t exactly put me in an empowering state to produce outstanding results in business and life.
I believe the cliche statement that “you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with” applies to music as well.
We cannot directly control our circumstances, but the music we listen to has a role in determining our thought patterns and emotions, which, in turn, indirectly shapes our circumstances.
Therefore, we must be intentional with the music that we listen to daily.
