When someone burns us or when something unfair happens to us, we can be bitter and we can be full of hatred. That’s fine.
But for what reason?
What would it profit us to hate?
I think that’s a good question to ask when we want to be sour and bitter with a puss on our faces after unfair treatment.
Even after Anthony Ray Hinton was freed after being wrongly held on death row for 30 years, there was not an ounce of bitterness in him.
He says, “What would it profit me to hate?”
Good question, Ray, good question.
