For many, happiness can be painfully elusive.
Here’s my take on it:
Happiness is just a collection of many joyful moments over a lifetime. That is, if we can learn to appreciate the little things in our daily lives, we can achieve happiness. We need to bring attention and joy to the little things, such as the miracle of breathing, the gratification of the first bite of food at a meal, the warmth of the sun’s shining rays, or the pleasure of the water in a hot shower touching your skin. Appreciate these little things, get lost in them, and notice the joy that arises from it.
In short, I believe it all comes down to one simple formula:
Joy + Joy + Joy = Happiness
